EP and Device Therapy for Allied Professionals: Applying Knowledge to Clinical Practice will take place in the Souther Auditorium at St. Vincent Hospital, 9205 SW Barnes Road, Portland, OR 97225. Parking is available in the East Parking Structure; please enter the hospital at the East Pavilion entrance. Who Should Attend

The target audience includes nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and technologists.

  • Review device interrogation and interpretation
  • Recognize concepts related to mapping and ablation technologies in the EP lab setting
  • Identify periprocedural patient management for EP, ablation and device therapies
  • Describe ethical issues related to EP and device patient care
  • Recognize the best out-patient follow-up and diagnostic methods

8:15–8:45 a.m. State of the Art EP Lab: What's Going On in There?

8:45–9:15 a.m. Devices: What's New in the Lab for Implant 

9:15–9:45 a.m. AF Ablation: A Patient's Perspective Before, During, and After the Procedure

9:45–10:00 a.m.  Break

10:00–10:30a.m.  Sedation for Implants and Ablations

10:30–11:00 a.m.  Devices: Out Patient Follow-up and Diagnostics

11:00 a.m.–noon Town Hall Panel Discussion / Bring Your Questions to the Experts

noon–1:00 p.m. Lunch (PROVIDED)

The Heart Rhythm Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians and by the New York State Nurses Association to provide continuing education for nurses and nurse practitioners.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)
The Heart Rhythm Society designates this educational activity for a maximum of 5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The AMA has determined that physicians not licensed in the USA who participate in this CME activity are eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
