titlelines EP Fellows Bootcamp: VT in the Setting of Dilated Cardiomyopathy
David J. Callans, MD, FHRS provides a case-based presentation and review of evaluation and ablation of ventricular arrythmias in patients with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy. Dr. Callans discusses the use of voltage measurement for deginition of site of scar. He notes that the typical sites of scarring in this group of patients is localized to the area around the valve annuli and at the site of VT origin which is frequently epicardial. Finally, Dr. Callans reviews the ECG criteria for localizatin of VT that are epicardial in origin.
