Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

• List the different pacing approaches to AF management
  
• Discuss the SAFARI Trial in terms of routine pacing and preventative pacing
  
• Describe the potential electrophysiologic effects of right atrial appendage pacing on atrial electrical synchrony and AV conduction
• Compare and discuss the results of several ATP trials on AF termination and AF prevention
• Recall the enrollment criteria and hyopthesis to be investigated in the ASSERT trial
• Diagram the study limbs of the MINERVA Trial and the entry criteria
