Intellectual and professional integrity and a devotion to ongoing education are requisite characteristics for applicants who become Members.

| (A) | Physician — The candidate shall be a physician or physician-scientist who has completed training and is in good standing with an earned academic degree (MD or equivalent). Specialty Board Certification is encouraged. Benefit of Listing in "Find a Heart Rhythm Specialist" section on the Society website. |
| (B) | Scientist — The candidate shall be a scientist who is in good standing and has earned an academic degree that reflects his/her scientific training (e.g., MD, PhD, EngScD) and holds a faculty position or the equivalent in an academic institution. Benefit of Listing in "Find a Heart Rhythm Specialist" section on the Society website. |
| (C) | Allied Health Professional — The candidate shall be actively involved with the technical aspect of pacemaker/ICD, or the performance of electrophysiologic techniques. The candidate shall be affiliated with an academic institution/clinical practice setting or equivalent. |
