Heart Rhythm Disorders

The Heart Rhythm Disorders section contains information acquired and inherited rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation, sudden cardiac arrest and Long QT Syndrome. Information is organized in three major categories: electrical diseases and disorders as well as those that are circulatory and structural. Learn more »

The Symptoms and Diagnosis section describes the symptoms of multiple types of heart rhythm disorders and conditions and the diagnostic heart tests available to patients suffering from various heart rhythm ailments. Learn more »

Learn more about risk factors and prevention

The Risk Factors and Prevention section details various factors that contribute to and trigger deadly arrhythmias. Since the underlying cause of an arrhythmia is not always clear, the best course of action is to prevent and treat heart problems such as high blood pressure and atherosclerosis. Learn more »
