October is SCA Awareness Month! The Society is calling attention to the need for more public education and research, as well as wider access to life-saving SCA treatments during the first-ever congressionally designated Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month, accomplished in large part to the Society’s advocacy efforts.

Coding & Reimbursement Heart Rhythm Society works with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and private payers to provide information and advocacy for appropriate coding, reimbursement and coverage for heart rhythm procedures.

Clinical Guidelines The Heart Rhythm Society's authored and/or endorsed clinical guidelines and documents provide expert guidance on issues such as improving patient care, staying up-to-date on the latest in clinical practice and research and advocating for fair reimbursement.
Quality/Outcomes Reporting The Heart Rhythm Society aims to increase the quality and improve the efficiency of the nation's healthcare systems: ICD Registry™, CMS’ Physicians Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI), Society participation in the AMA-convened Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement® (PCPI) and the ACC’s PAR-4 Presidential Task Force.
