Membership in the House of Delegates strengthens the Society's ability to represent the field of electrophysiology and opens important doors for us — especially to entities that are in control of identifying Medicare procedures that will be reimbursed and performance measures that will serve as the basis for Medicare reimbursement in the future.
Specifically, with a seat in the AMA House of Delegates, the Society will:
- Participate directly in the Medicare reimbursement code change review and valuation processes
- Vote on important AMA policies, including within the AMA Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement
- Stregthen our relationships with national and commercial third-party payers and policy decision makers
The Society wishes to thank all of its physician members who participated in the recruitment campaign last year and helped us achieve this accomplishment.
