To provide additional value to journal readers and members of the Heart Rhythm Society, a number of enhancements were made to HeartRhythm in 2009, including a new cover design, additional pages, and the addition of podcasts by Editor-in-Chief Douglas P. Zipes, MD, FHRS to the journal's website. HeartRhythm featured two focus issues in 2011: atrial fibrillation in September and sudden cardiac arrest in October.
The Journal is the only EP publication serving the entire electrophysiology community from basic to clinical academic researchers, private practitioners, technicians, industry and trainees. All articles are peer-reviewed. Visit www.heartrhythmjournal.com to access current and past issues online.

We publish guidelines, position papers and important news information for Heart Rhythm Society members about the Society, and supplement issues, including the abstracts from the Annual Scientific Sessions. (See the Journal's manuscript submission guidelines for full details.) Journal articles frequently receive extensive press coverage.
To encourage and promote excitement in performing research, each year we recognize four outstanding clinical and four outstanding experimental articles for presentation at the annual Scientific Sessions of the Heart Rhythm Society, and two EP trainees who have published outstanding clinical and experimental articles. We also recognize our top remarkable reviewers who have set records in review time and number of manuscripts reviewed in the previous year.
