The Heart Rhythm 2009 Abstract Submission Site is now open. To learn more about how to submit an abstract for the Society's 30th Annual Scientific Sessions, download the Abstract Submission Guidelines (PDF, 317K, rev. 10/30/08), which includes full information on:

An enhancement to the sign-on process has been implemented for Heart Rhythm 2009 to improve the abstract submission process. The Submitting Author is the Presenting Author and listed as the First Author. The submittal of an abstract by the Submitting Author will automatically populate the submission information for the Presenting Author and First Author fields. All correspondence for the abstract will be directed to the Submitting Author. The information should be reviewed to ensure that current and correct e-mail address information is listed. The designation of Submitting/Presenting/First Author should be carefully considered before initiating the abstract submission process.
Each Submitting Author will be asked to provide a username and password to sign-on to the Abstract Submission Site. If you do not have a username/password or have forgotten the information, instructions are provided on the submission site to assist you. The Submitting Author’s information will pre-populate the Presenting Author and First Author information fields upon signing into the submission site.
New Abstract Categories
The Heart Rhythm 2009 Scientific Sessions Program Committee has updated the abstract categories to improve the abstract Submission, Review and Presentation processes. If you have submitted an abstract in the past, please review the list of 64 topics carefully before making your selection and submitting an abstract; abstract categories are listed in the Abstract Submission Guidelines (PDF, 317K, rev. 10/30/08) and on the Abstract Submission Site.
New Poster Abstract Session
A new poster session type, Moderated Poster, will be introduced at Heart Rhythm 2009 to enhance the poster session experience. Each moderated poster presentation will be 15 minutes in length lead by the Presenting Author and include comments from an Expert Moderator. The moderated poster sessions will be presented in the "poster theater" section of the poster area. Moderated Posters will be selected as part of the abstract review process.
Abstract Withdrawal
The Presenting Author must submit a request in writing to withdraw an abstract from Heart Rhythm 2009 (abstracts@hrsonline.org). Please note that the Presenting Author will receive an e-mail confirmation upon completion of the withdrawal. The request must fulfill the following requirements:
- Subject line of the e-mail must include "Abstract Withdrawal"
- Abstract title and number
- Reason for the withdrawal
The abstract withdrawal deadline is Monday, March 2, 2009 11:59 p.m. EST.
Embargo Policy
Abstracts and presentations are embargoed for release at date and time of presentation. Information may not be released before then. Failure to honor embargo policies will result in the abstract being withdrawn and barred from presentation.
Industry Abstract Submission
Abstract submissions from industry representatives are allowed. Submissions are required to focus on science and research and not products or services. Abstract presentation may not be sales presentations and/or endorsement for products or services.
